Nina’s therapeutic approach is to provide a safe and empathic place for individuals to explore themselves and their emotional difficulties. Once issues have been identified through collaborative treatment planning, Nina takes the role of empowering individuals with coping skills and tools in order to effectively manage their emotional discord. Trauma can often cause dysregulation with your nervous system and Nina will work with you to regulate your nervous system responses. As your therapist she will foster and nurture your own resilience so that you can find within yourself the power to heal. By empowering you with the tools you need to mitigate symptoms, your difficulties can be resolved.
Nina primarily works with individuals who have experienced trauma and who have ongoing trauma related symptoms; anxiety concerns, mood dysregulation and nervous system dysregulation.
A typical session includes the use of Ego state interventions and parts work, Nervous system regulation tools, EMDR, CBT, DBT.
Nina believes in the power of your own resilience to foster healing along with learning tools to manage symptoms.
