Warmth and professionalism are important to my work. I like to learn about what a client wants in life and explore how we can work together in therapy to support progress towards what is wanted. I find it valuable for clients to have space to express themselves. I see clients learn incredible things when they listen to themselves and I enjoy complementing that with therapy skills I can teach. I appreciate questions, feedback, and requests.
I specialize in working with athletes, dancers, and other performers transitioning out of the peaks of their performance careers. I enjoy working with people addressing challenges in their relationships with the activities they pursue and/or their concepts of themselves. Many of my clients are observant, reflective, and curious. They are often interested in developing a deeper understanding of their experiences and greater awareness of what they can do.
A typical session may include processing events that have occurred during the week, checking in on what you're feeling and needing, exploring things that have been on your mind lately, and learning new skills.
I believe that by connecting with more of ourselves, we can deepen our connection with life.
My transition from professional ballet to college inspired me to become a therapist. I am frequently struck with the thought that I have the best job in the world, for me.
