I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience.
My ideal clients are first responders and high-functioning adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or burned out. Many carry trauma, stress, or anxiety and think, “I should handle this,” but feel disconnected. You’ve been carrying a lot, and it’s exhausting to keep pushing through on your own. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, you’re not alone. You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. When you’re ready, I invite you to take that first step toward feeling more like yourself again. Together we can start right where you are.
I Am a retired law enforcement officer. I was born and raised in Brazil, and when I first came to the United States, I immediately felt that this was a place where, with hard work and heart, she could build a future. That belief guided me through 18 1/2 years in law enforcement, including eight years as a school resource officer. Serving her community was an honor, but over time, she realized I wanted to support people on a deeper, more personal level. Pursuing my master’s in counseling was the turning point that brought everything together—my life experience, my desire to help, and my passion for healing. I works with first responders, adults, and couples who are navigating trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, anger, substance use, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. As a former first responder, I understands the emotional weight that comes with constantly showing up for others. The exposure to trauma, the pressure to stay strong, and the belief that “this is just the job” can leave you feeling stuck and alone. I knows how difficult it is to be vulnerable and ask for help—because I have been there too. Reaching out was one of the best decisions I ever made, and it’s one of the reasons I is so passionate about creating a safe, supportive space for others. My therapeutic approach is grounded in warmth, trust, and genuine connection. I believes healing happens when you feel safe enough to let your guard down, explore your experiences, and reconnect with your strengths. Together, we will celebrate your wins and work through the tougher moments. You don’t have to face this alone.
