I believe healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and accepted. My approach is warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, creating a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. I understand that therapy can feel vulnerable, so I strive to meet each client with empathy, patience, and genuine curiosity. While my style is gentle and calming, I also believe growth comes from being willing to challenge ourselves. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patterns, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that empower you to create meaningful, lasting change
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adolescents and adults, serving clients ages 15 to 50. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, adjustment disorders, eating disorders, and self-esteem challenges. I also provide counseling for couples experiencing relationship and marital concerns, including communication difficulties, conflict resolution, and divorce-related transitions. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs by integrating evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Humanistic principles. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, we'll work collaboratively to help you gain insight, strengthen emotional resilience, improve coping skills, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and aligned with your values. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling supported, understood, and equipped with the confidence to continue your journey beyond the therapy room.
My philosophy of therapy is rooted in the belief that every person has the capacity for healing, growth, and meaningful change when they are met with compassion, respect, and genuine understanding. I value authenticity, collaboration, and creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences without fear of judgment. I believe therapy should honor each person's unique story while gently encouraging self-reflection, resilience, and lasting personal growth. My goal is to help clients not only overcome challenges but also build healthier relationships with themselves and others. My clinical approach is informed by evidence-based practices and specialized training, including Ego State Therapy Levels 1 and 2 and Gottman Method Levels 1 and 2 for couples and relationship work. These trainings enhance my ability to help clients understand different parts of themselves, process difficult emotions and past experiences, strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and foster deeper emotional connections. By integrating these approaches with CBT, DBT, ACT, Person-Centered Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Humanistic principles, I provide personalized care that supports emotional healing, healthy relationships, and sustainable change.
Growing up in a military family gave me the opportunity to live in different places, experience diverse communities, and build relationships with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Those experiences shaped the way I view the world and taught me the importance of approaching others with curiosity, respect, and an open mind. They also reinforced my belief that every person's story is influenced by their unique culture, values, family experiences, and life journey. As a therapist, I strive to understand my clients not only through the words they speak but also through the cultural, familial, and personal lens that has shaped who they are. Rather than making assumptions or focusing only on what is visible on the surface, I seek to understand the deeper experiences, beliefs, and perspectives that influence how each client navigates life. I believe meaningful therapy begins with listening well, honoring each person's individuality, and recognizing that healing is most effective when clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and respected for who they are.
