My style is warm, collaborative, and genuine. Therapy with me is not about being judged or "fixed" it's about creating a space where you can show up authentically and feel understood. I balance compassion with gentle honesty, helping clients gain insight while also creating meaningful change. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore our experiences, challenge old narratives, and reconnect with ourselves. My goal is to help clients move beyond simply surviving and toward living more intentionally, confidently, and authentically.
I work with adults, couples, and adolescents navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and family dynamics. Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck internally. I specialize in trauma recovery, attachment wounds, relationship concerns, women's issues, cultural identity, and helping clients break free from patterns that no longer serve them. I also enjoy working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly those navigating the complexities of family expectations, generational patterns, and identity.
Sessions are tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. Some days we may process difficult emotions, explore relationship patterns, or unpack past experiences. Other days we may focus on building practical coping skills, emotional regulation, communication strategies, or creating healthier boundaries. Depending on the client's needs, I may incorporate EMDR, mindfulness practices, somatic awareness, attachment-focused interventions, narrative exploration, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Clients often describe our work together as a balance of feeling deeply supported while also being gently challenged to grow.
My work is guided by the belief that people are not broken, they are often responding to life experiences, relationships, and systems that have shaped them. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed, systemic, and culturally responsive lens. My training in EMDR, family systems, attachment theory, and relational therapy allows me to help clients understand both the roots of their struggles and the pathways toward healing. I value authenticity, curiosity, cultural humility, and creating a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, empowering, and collaborative.
As a Cuban-American therapist, I understand firsthand how culture, family values, generational experiences, and identity can shape the way we view ourselves and the world around us. My personal and professional experiences have deepened my appreciation for the resilience people carry while also recognizing the impact that trauma, relationships, and societal expectations can have on emotional well-being. I strive to create an inclusive and affirming space where clients from all backgrounds feel seen, respected, and supported in their healing journey. 💛
