My approach is tailored to what you are carrying, what you've already tried, and what you hope will change. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches depending on what the moment calls for. Some sessions focus on practical tools, coping strategies, and creating change in everyday life. Others involve exploring deeper emotions, relationship patterns, and experiences that may have pulled you away from yourself over time. Therapy is not about forcing you into a predetermined process. It is about understanding your experience, finding what is keeping you stuck, and helping you move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are. I follow the work, not a fixed protocol.

Who I Work With

I know it takes courage to reach out to a complete stranger, but let me assure you I won’t feel like a stranger after the first few minutes. The clients I work with are functioning. They are managing work and responsibilities. To everyone around them, things look fine. They have lost their footing in themselves, in their relationships, or in a life that no longer looks the way it was supposed to. Some come alone. Some come with a partner or their family. What they share is that they are ready to stop managing the gap between how things look and how things feel.

In Session

Most sessions begin with where you are right now. What happened this week. What you are carrying into the room. From there, we go where the work leads. I am active and engaged in session. I will offer observations, name patterns I notice, ask difficult questions when needed, and share perspectives when they are useful. My role is not simply to listen. It is to help you see things more clearly. This is a conversation, not a performance. You do not have to have it figured out before you walk in. You do not need the right words. We start with where you are and work from there.

What Guides My Work

I believe most people already have the capacity to heal. What they often need is help understanding what happened, what has been keeping them stuck, and how to reconnect with themselves. Whether you are navigating grief, anxiety, burnout, trauma, or relationship pain, my role is not to tell you who to become. It is to help you find your way back to yourself. When life has shattered around you, I will help you gather the pieces and rebuild.

Personal Lens

I have run Audrey Therapy, a solo private practice in Tampa, for over a decade. Every part of your care is handled by me. When you reach out, you are not entering a system; you are beginning a conversation with the person who will be sitting across from you. I chose this model because your therapy begins with our relationship.
