My style is warm, collaborative, relational, and conversational. Therapy with me is not about being analyzed from across the room—it's about thinking through things together. I strive to create a space where clients feel both supported and challenged as we explore patterns, relationships, emotions, and experiences that may be contributing to their current struggles. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward the life they want to create. While I bring clinical expertise to the process, I view therapy as a collaborative relationship in which clients are the experts on their own lives. I use an integrative approach that draws from evidence-based and trauma-informed practices to help clients achieve meaningful, lasting change and healing

Who I Work With

I work primarily with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and questions related to identity and self-worth. Many of my clients are high-achieving individuals who appear to have it all together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck internally. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. I understand the impact that identity, family dynamics, culture, and lived experiences can have on mental health and overall well-being. My passion is helping individuals from marginalized communities access culturally responsive, affirming, and effective mental health care. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and create meaningful change in their lives, regardless of the barriers they may have faced along the way.

In Session

No two sessions look exactly the same because therapy is tailored to each person's needs and goals. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions and gaining insight, while others may be more skills-based and practical. Depending on what is most helpful, we may explore thought patterns, nervous system responses, relationship dynamics, attachment experiences, coping strategies, or behavioral changes. My work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based approaches, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and somatic interventions. Above all, I prioritize helping clients feel understood while developing tools that create meaningful change outside of session.

What Guides My Work

I believe healing occurs within safe and authentic relationships. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered care. I value curiosity over judgment, compassion over shame, and growth over perfection. I recognize that our experiences are shaped by many factors, including family systems, culture, faith, relationships, and life circumstances. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I seek to understand the whole person and help clients build a life that aligns with their values and goals.

Personal Lens

As a Black woman, Christian, business owner, and neurodivergent therapist, I understand firsthand how identity, culture, faith, expectations, and life experiences can influence mental health and relationships. While therapy is always centered on the client's experience, these perspectives inform my appreciation for the complexity of people's stories and the importance of creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood.
