My approach is both direct and supportive. My goal is simple: to help you build a life that feels more authentic to who you truly are - not one defined by your symptoms, struggles, or past experiences.

Who I Work With

Ever feel like life is just too heavy? Like days are turning into weeks, and it's almost as if you're watching your life pass by through the window of a train. Perhaps the valleys have been lower lately, and the peaks just aren't as high. Or maybe the safe plateau that once felt like purgatory is starting to feel more like hell. Relationships and emotions are difficult to navigate, even for those who seem to manage them well. While our culture has become more open to discussing mental health in recent years, most of us were never taught how to process our feelings. Carrying the burdens of the past can quietly shape our lives and, over time, lead to painful consequences. I work with individuals, couples, and families who find themselves stuck in patterns that no longer align with who they want to be. By observing ourselves from a place of curiosity and compassion, we can begin to understand and accept the parts of ourselves that have been misunderstood, ignored, or judged. Sometimes our best intentions haven't led us where we hoped, but that doesn't mean change is out of reach.

In Session

A session with me is often different from what people expect therapy to be. Rather than simply talking about problems, we work to understand the parts of you that have been carrying them. Using a combination of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR, we create a space where difficult emotions, painful memories, and longstanding patterns can be explored without judgment or overwhelm. You won't be forced to relive the past. Instead, we move at a pace that feels manageable, helping you build a relationship with the parts of yourself that have been protecting you, even when their strategies no longer serve you. As those parts begin to feel understood, EMDR can help process experiences that may still be stored in the nervous system, allowing emotional wounds to heal rather than simply be managed. Clients often describe this process as gaining clarity, feeling lighter, and experiencing a deeper sense of connection to themselves. The goal isn't to become someone different - it's to remove the barriers that have kept you from being who you've always been.

What Guides My Work

I believe there is more right with people than wrong. Beneath the pain, confusion, and patterns that bring us to therapy exists a core Self capable of wisdom, healing, and growth. My work is guided by the belief that lasting change comes not from fighting ourselves, but from understanding ourselves with curiosity, compassion, and courage.

Personal Lens

I came to this work through a deep appreciation for the human capacity to heal. My own experience in therapy taught me that the symptoms we struggle with are often meaningful attempts to adapt, protect, and survive. Rather than viewing ourselves as broken, I believe we are often disconnected from parts of ourselves that need understanding and care. This belief continues to shape both my life and my work as a therapist.
